Description

The FlowTek FT-4070P is a 12-volt inline fuel pump rated for both gasoline and diesel, built for powered auxiliary fuel transfer on trucks, service rigs, and farm equipment. The rotary positive displacement design moves fuel at a steady rate from an auxiliary tank to the factory tank, without the pulsing that shows up in lower-grade inline pumps.

Flow rate comes down to what a pump can pull through it. Most inline replacement pumps run a 1/4 in. port, which limits volume no matter how the motor is rated. The FT-4070P uses full 3/8 in. NPT inlet and outlet ports, and that larger opening is what holds 80 GPH at 3 to 5 PSI on a 6-amp draw. The pump is self-priming with up to 10 ft. of suction lift, so it pulls fuel from a tank mounted below it and starts on its own.
